From the photographer, Bobbi Brinkman Photography:
A little over a year ago these two ladies met through a mutual friend that was teaching with Brittni. This group of friends took Brittni under their wings and quickly became family. As it often happens Brittni & Erin developed an amazing friendship early on and found themselves talking and spending time together more that they were with their group of friends, but both admit they each played hard to get in the beginning, but and as they say...the rest is history and they started the wedding planning chapter of their love story.
How she asked?
Erin planned quite the proposal date. Brittni says she knew Erin was up to something all week and even called her out on it but Erin convinced her that is was just a surprised date, and knowing that Erin loves to surprise her with things she did not push it any further. However, as much as Erin tried to remain calm she was indeed having a case of nerves to the point that Brittni thought Erin was mad at her and asked Brittni to change outfits 3 times and they did not speak to each other on the way to the date except when Erin commented how late they were running. Brittni says she was trying hard not get her feelings hurt when she knew Erin was really making an effort for their surprise date.
Once they arrived on Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island GA, for what Brittni thought was the surprise date of private horseback rides on the beach. (side note to add to Erin's nerves, the horseback company had called and said they were backed up could they reschedule) Erin had placed a wooden sign that had "Will you Marry Me?" on a tree so Brittni would see it when they road by and needless to say "She said YES" then afterwards they met their families for a private sunset dolphin tour to celebrate now being a newly engaged couple!!
