From the photographer, Trevor Mercer Photo + Video:
When I first met the couple, they wanted to hold their wedding in their backyard. Although very lovely, after talking through the pros and cons of hosting 150 people at their home, I went on the hunt for a ceremony/reception venue that would accommodate their guest count and wedding vision... a take on The Secret Garden. This is when I stumbled upon the gem of the Corley Mill House and Garden. It was everything that the couple wanted.
The Corley Mill House & Garden seems more like a setting from the pages of Margaret Mitchell's "Gone with the Wind", than a reception facility. Sprawling, old pecan trees line the circular drive, welcome guests to the charming gardens and statuary that encircle the elegant, fully restored, turn of the century, plantation style home. The view through an ivy covered arbor hints at the picturesque back grounds adorned with a hand crafted white gazebo, quaint water wheel and wrap around covered patios.
Once inside the guests were transported back to the gracious old south. Oak floors, elaborate fireplaces run throughout the home. On the guest tables, lanterns, skeleton keys and small vignettes of florals adorned each table. Decadently abundant buffets are place just outside of double french doors which give way to the banquet room.
All of the guests were ready to have a great night and danced the night away with Quietstorm Electronics. The night ended with the couple leaving through a tunnel of love!!
