From the photographer and our editor-in-chief, Swiger Photography:
I met Gabby several months ago when she came to one of my boudoir sessions and I instantly just adored her! She was so sweet and kind and gorgeous! So when I put out a model call for something I have been working on for Tantamount Love, she and her girlfriend Brooke volunteered and I was thrilled! I knew their session was going to be fun but it went from fun to oh-my-goodness-is-this-really-happening the moment I saw my wife Jordan mouth the word "ring" to me as we were walking to our first shooting location!
All of sudden my brain went into rapid mode trying to figure out how I would signal Brooke that I was ready for her to propose, all without letting Gabby know anything was up! Somehow it all worked out perfectly because when I asked Brooke to do the most romantic thing I could think of (something I ask almost all of my couples at the start of their session) she took a step back, reached into her pocket and dropped to one knee. Gabby couldn't believe she was proposing but the look of joy on her face says it all.
We spent the next 30 minutes photographing them around the "gayborhood" section of Philly in some of my favorite locations and they literally couldn't stop smiling. Gabby kept staring at her ring, asking all the questions about how long she had it and who picked it out! Brooke perfectly picked out (with the help of few of Gabby's favorite people) a stunning art deco inspired, princess cut engagement ring that was beyond what Gabby had hoped for. It was perfection.
I am so so happy for these two and for them to start planning a forever future together. And I am also happy Brooke choose our session to propose so that I was able to capture that moment for them to have forever. Enjoy a few favorites of mine from this session!
